Anglo-Saxon treasures
Travel back over a thousand years in time and marvel at the treasures of the Anglo-Saxon people. See the incredible craftsmanship of ancient jewellery, tools and everyday items which were uncovered right here along the River Tees. Do not miss our star object, the rare 10th century Viking helmet, the first ever found in Britain, which is now on display for all to see.
