To help you save time on arrival, we recommend booking your museum pass online before your visit.
Online booking is quick, secure, and ensures a smooth entry to the museum — especially during busy periods.
Your museum admission pass includes:
- entry to the Museum, Victorian Street and Gardens
- entry to exhibitions in 2025 and 2026
Visitors with disabilities may admit one accompanying carer free of charge when they pay for an annual or day pass. Proof of entitlement required.
Important information
It does not include entry to Butterfly World or Teesside Small Gauge Railway.
Museum annual pass
Ideal for regular visitors who want to explore at their own pace, all year round.
All passes are valid for unlimited visits for one year from the date of issue.

Residents of the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees
Residents of Stockton-on-Tees are eligible for a 20% discount on all annual passes. Proof of address is required for all discounted passes.

Museum day pass
If you are planning a one-off visit, our museum day pass is the perfect way to explore everything the museum has to offer, all in one day.
Day passes are valid for a single day and can be used on any date of your choosing.
A museum day pass costs £8.
Upgrade to an annual pass
You can upgrade your day pass to an annual pass. This will give you unlimited access for 12 months.
Upgrades must be made on the day of your visit.
Just speak to a member of staff at the front desk before you leave.

If you are visiting in a group of 10 people or more, you qualify for our group booking rate.
