River Tees project
Recycling the River Tees: A community celebration
Recycling the River Tees is an environmental initiative bringing together local artists and young people to explore the river's significance. Flowing through Tees Valley, the River Tees connects communities in both work and leisure, shaping the region's heritage and future.
Art inspired by the River Tees
Young participants collaborated with the Canal and River Trust and the Tees Valley Wildlife Trust to create artwork and writing reflecting the river's natural beauty, industrial history and environmental challenges.
Tees Bridges
KS2 students from High Clarence Primary School worked with artist Bub Bacon to study the bridges spanning the River Tees and create their own using recycled materials.
