Enjoy food and drink at our Victorian tearoom

Step back in time and enjoy delicious coffee from local suppliers, homemade scones or cakes in our traditional tearoom on the Victorian Street. It’s a lovely place to relax, refuel and soak up the atmosphere.

Open from 10am – 3.30pm (Tuesday to Sunday, open Mondays during Stockton School holidays and bank holidays).

You can also enjoy hot drinks to takeaway from the tearoom hatch at the rear of the museum.

Bring a picnic

We have designated picnic areas in the park and in the Orchard during the summer, if you would like to bring your own food and drink.

Cafe in the park

Cafe Tees in Preston Park will be closed from Thursday 27 March to complete the park’s improved cafe and toilet facilities. This planned closure is taking place to create a modern cafe space, where visitors can enjoy an exciting new offer with more comfortable seating and new toilets.

Sandwiches, hot drinks and treats will be available for park users to purchase through the hatch at the back of the Victorian tearoom in the museum from Tuesday 1 April.

The refurbished park cafe is expected to reopen in early June.
