Building work has begun on the exciting new extension to our museum.

The ambitious plans will see Preston Park Museum & Grounds transformed to create a new, modern and inspiring visitor experience like no other.

It will provide opportunities for families to come together to play, learn and explore our rich local heritage.

What’s planned?

A bold and modern extension to the existing museum will be created and improvements to facilities and landscaping will transform the park offer for everyone.

How is it funded?

This investment is part of the Government’s £20 million Levelling Up Fund for the Stockton South Constituency, secured by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council. Other investments include Yarm Town Centre, Yarm Town Hall and improving connectivity between Yarm and Eaglescliffe.
