Help bring our galleries to life
Can you help enhance the visitor experience by bringing history to life in the gallery spaces? From simply striking up friendly conversations in the galleries; to delivering guided tours to groups and coach parties; or perhaps using our Discovery Station of handling objects for ‘hands on history’ exploration, our Gallery Stewards are an invaluable volunteering role.
What is involved?
- Engage with visitors about the past and the stories told in Preston Park Museum
- Be welcoming to all visitor groups, including families, school groups and coach parties
- Direct visitors and tell them about events and exhibitions taking place in the museum
- Answer queries and be the first point of contact for assistance
- Deliver guided tours to groups and coach parties
- Use our Discover Station of handling objects for ‘hands on history’
