Help bring our Victorian Street to life
Our Costumed Interpreters help create an unforgettable experience for all our visitors, by bringing the Victorian Street to life. In this role, you will provide opportunities for visitors to dress up in Victorian costume, handle historical objects, play traditional street games and create real-life immersive experiences in our shops.
In some shops, visitors can buy souvenirs such as fresh garden produce from the grocers and traditional sweets from the sweet shop.
What is involved?
- Deliver historically relevant information in an engaging, accurate and entertaining manner
- Wear appropriate costume based upon the clothes worn in Victorian Britain around 1895
- Be welcoming to all visitor groups as families, school groups and coach parties
- Direct visitors and tell them about events and exhibitions taking place in the museum
- Answer queries and be the first point of contact for assistance
