Mini Pride

Ignite your imagination by taking part in fun activities from colourful arts and crafts to empowering storytimes with the Curious Arts team. 

Activities include:

• Proud People - design a paper character that celebrates you, your individuality and the things you love, or choose a family member to capture in paper form!
• Pride Banner - create your own mini march banner to represent your family, express your pride or your hopes for change. Inspired by the LGBTQIA+ communities and allies who've campaigned for our rights since the first Pride marches in 1970 and the Steelworkers of Teesside who marched to "save our steel"
• Storytelling - join our storyteller, Pam The Dinner Lady, as they read their favourite empowering picture books. Expect colourful stories that celebrate love, diversity, and family!

What to expect:

• Mini Pride will take place on Saturday 26 June 2026
• suitable for families
• drop-in, no booking required
• 10am to 4pm (last admission 3.30pm) 
• you will need a valid museum admission pass to attend this event. If you don't already have a Museum Pass, we recommend buying yours online before your visit
• already have a Museum Pass? Please bring it with you
