Our popular Walled Garden Feast will return this autumn and promises to be extra special, as we celebrate ten years of the garden opening.
- Sample small taster dishes (prepared by the Waiting Room and made from produce grown in our garden) served from 1pm until we run out
- Make the most of the day and bring a picnic to enjoy in the bandstand and gardens
There will be lots of activities taking place throughout the day from 10am – 4pm (last admission 3.30pm), including:
- Heritage craft demonstrations, including pottery, scything, wood turning, bee keeping and dry stone walling
- Den building
- Live performances- dancing stilt walking bees and butterflies
- Live music by The Ran Tanners
- Make your own wildflower seed bomb to take home
- Rock painting and make a pine cone bird feeder with Tees Valley Wildlife Trust
- Small selection of garden produce and cut flowers to purchase

If you don’t already have a museum ticket, you will need to purchase one to enter the event. Most of the activities are included in the price (there will be a small charge for Muddy Fingers Pottery). All of our tickets last a year, See our museum admission prices here

Accessibility
This event will take place in the Walled Garden, orchard, Woodland Walk and bandstand which are accessible, however please be aware that access to the garden is via a gravel path.
Dogs
Unfortunately only assistance dogs are allowed, as entry to the Walled Garden is via the museum.
