*In line with the latest recommendations from the government, Preston Park Museum will be closing from 5pm on Wednesday 18 March 2020 until further notice. We will also be postponing all of our upcoming events. Thank you for your support and understanding.*
Do you know someone who loves unicorns? If so they will not want to miss this! We are giving you the chance to see our very special visitor – Stardust the unicorn.
During your visit why not take part in fairytale arts and crafts, and explore our Easter trail?
When is Unicorn Day?
It will take place on Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 and Saturday 18 & Sunday 19 April.
What time can I see the unicorn?
Stardust will be at the museum between 10am and 3.30pm, she will be taking regular breaks throughout the day.
Do I need to book?
This event is drop-in. We are expecting it to be very popular and there is likely to be a queue to enter the museum and to see the unicorn. Please have your museum ticket ready to show upon arrival.
If you have not already got a ticket you will be able to buy one on the day. See our museum admission prices here.
If possible we recommend purchasing your ticket before the event to avoid having to queue for entry on the day. You can buy your ticket at the museum. All of our tickets are valid for a year. Don’t forget to bring your ticket with you on the day.
How much is it?
You will need a museum ticket to see the unicorn. You can see our museum admission prices here.
Can I get my photo taken with the unicorn?
Yes there will be opportunities to get a photo taken with Stardust however you will need to queue. We expect this event to be very popular so please bear with us.
There is plenty of space in the Orchard to view Stardust. However if you do want to take a selfie with the unicorn you will need to queue.
Getting to the event
You can find out how to get to the museum here. We do have a free car park however we are expecting it to be very busy and cannot guarantee a space. We recommend car sharing where possible or using public transport. The number 7 bus stops just outside of the entrance to the park.
Is it suitable for pushchairs/wheelchairs?
You can view the unicorn in our Orchard, which can be accessed via the museum. The Orchard is all on one level but the ground will be uneven.
Can I bring my dog?
Unfortunately only assistance dogs are allowed.
