Following on from the success of our popular Toddler Takeover days we’re pleased to launch a new event for 2020 – Museum Takeover. This event has been created for under 5’s and will take place on Saturday 7 March.
Your little ones are invited to help us with some of our day-to-day museum jobs. Activities include a visit to our ‘cleaning station’, ‘gallery patrol’, ‘camera craft’ and ‘be the artist’ to name just a few.
Museum Takeover will be taking place in our museum galleries. You can take part in the activities in any order and in your own time. Our staff and volunteers will be on hand if you need any help.
What age is this event suitable for?
This event is dedicated to little ones and is perfect for children under 5, accompanied by an adult.
What time does the event take place?
Museum Takeover will take place on Saturday 7 March at 10.30am – 12pm.

How do I book?
Spaces are limited and must be booked in advance (adults do not need to book a place).
You can book your free child place online here.
Museum Takeover is free however you will need to pay museum admission if you don’t already have an annual pass. Museum tickets can be purchased at the Welcome Desk upon arrival. You can see our admission prices here.
Choose the date of your session and click the ‘Add to Basket’ button. Tickets will be emailed to you, please bring them along with you on the day.
