This May half term, step outside and join us at Preston Park for Get Outdoors – a week full of nature-inspired adventures for the whole family! Whether you’re a curious explorer, crafty creator, or budding naturalist, there’s something for everyone.
Highlights include:
- Guided park walk – Explore the park with a guided family-friendly walk led by our Park Rangers (Saturday 25 & Sunday 25 May)
- Mini Beast Hunt – Get ready to go on a wild bug-hunting adventure! Join Ranger Dave as you head out across the park in search of creepy-crawlies. You’ll discover the secret world of mini beasts hiding in logs, leaves and under rocks. You’ll learn how to spot and identify different insects – perfect for curious young explorers! (Saturday 24 & Sunday 25 May)
- Get Crafty – Make something special to take home (Tuesday 27 &Thursday 29 May)
- Story-Time – Fun and interactive storytelling session, suitable for all ages (Friday 30 May)
- Museum trail – Follow the clues through the Victorian Street and help solve the mystery
- Big Park Pick – Join us for a hands-on morning of community spirit as we come together to give Preston Park a spring clean (Monday 26 May)
- Otter Spotting Walk (Monday 26 May)
