This half term you are invited to step back in time and explore the prehistoric past with our exciting drop-in fossil activity. Get up close to real fossils found in the Tees Valley, including a mammoth tusk, woolly rhino jaw, plesiosaur vertebrae and ichthyosaur bones. Learn about the prehistoric creatures that once roamed this land and discover top tips to become a fossil hunter!
This hands-on activity will be led by a member of our museum team, who will be sharing fossils from his own personal collection. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to handle history and ask questions about the fascinating world of palaeontology!
