Experience our traditional festive makeover with twinkly lights hung above the cobbles, Christmas trees and festive wreaths decorating our Victorian Street.

Explore our museum galleries and discover our pop-up family games with a festive twist!
Festive arts and crafts
Make something festive to take home in our Get Crafty sessions. Drop-in from 10am – 3pm.
Community choirs
Soak up the wonderful atmosphere with our community choirs and performers (selected times and dates).
Community Christmas tree display
See our beautiful community Christmas tree display, which will be open from Saturday 30 November – Sunday 22 December. Inspired by the Victorian Street and park, local community groups have been working hard to create their festive tree. Thanks to the following groups who have been involved in this fantastic project: A Warm Welcome SBC, Darlington College art students with Anna Mcintyre, High Clarence Primary School, Preston Park Five Star Families, Preston Park Volunteers, Preston Park Young Producers and Tees Valley Museums activity group for people with Dementia and their carers.
Festive food demo
Barefoot Kitchen will be making her favourite festive recipes in our Victorian Demonstration Kitchen on Sunday 15 December, 11am – 2pm (suitable for vegetarians and vegans, as well as gluten free). Find out more about the Festive food demo
